Happy TummieS

Happy Tummies is a Hout Bay based feeding initiative providing nourishing meals to those who need them most. What began as a small local initiative has grown into a trusted, community‑run programme working alongside organisations such as Love in a Bowl and Little Angels, now serves weekly hot meals to around 500 adults and 900 children.

Cape Wayfarer Craft Pet Food Company, committed to meaningful community welfare, is proud to support this programme. Many of the families fed by Happy Tummies also care for dogs - often former community dogs taken in out of compassion and fed a diet of table scraps or low-quality commercial diets. Through its collaboration with Happy Tummies, Cape Wayfarer provides Cruiser™, a complete and balanced super‑premium food, to help sustain the health and wellbeing of these pets.

The aim is to provide complete nutrition for dogs in low‑income households, protecting their health and longevity. In return, these dogs - as they have for millennia - offer loyalty, devotion and protection to their families.

DARG

DARG is Hout Bay’s long‑standing pro‑life rescue organisation, dedicated to rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned and vulnerable animals. Their team works tirelessly to give every dog the chance to be seen, understood and welcomed into a loving home.
